Productivity author and researcher at Clockify
Stefan Veljkovic is a work optimization aficionado who writes at the intersection of tech, self-help, and mindfulness. With a long-lasting career in editing, writing, and translation, he thinks of himself as a word-lover.
Stefan first discovered his fondness for words — written and spoken — when his granddad bought him a satellite antenna at the age of 3. Fast forward, he graduated from the English Language and Literature department at the University of Pristina, regularly speaks German, and has a decent grasp of Spanish.
In his previous career, he worked as a youth worker, human rights advocate, and project manager in the NGO sector in his hometown of Kosovska Mitrovica.
Stefan had enjoyed working remotely before it was a thing — back in 2012.
When not on the job, he spends most of his spare time with his two kids and wife. Speaking of time, Stefan has an atypical perspective of work-life balance. He believes that work should be an integral part of life and that the work-life balance dichotomy actually leads people to believe that work is something that happens outside of life, which isn’t really true.
As a productivity author and researcher, Stefan has crafted countless articles on improving habits and soft skills. A life enthusiast to his bones, he has spent many years in the quest for the perfect optimization software and time management strategies — and has found them.
One of his favorite quotes comes from Seth Godin: “Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you should set up a life you don’t need to escape from.”
